Politics. Books. Arts. Life. Laughter.
The Spectator has a 184-year history of entertaining, informing, delighting and infuriating its subscribers.
Something Spectator writers won't do is send you to sleep. Their politics range from left to right, their circumstances from high life to low life. The most perceptive political analysis comes as standard. Where The Spectator comes into its own is assembling the best writers from Britain, and giving them the freedom to say what they want. There is no party line, the sole allegiance is to originality of thought and elegance of expression. The result is a quality of argument not to be found in any other publication.
The likes of Matthew Parris, Charles Moore and Rod Liddle are regulars in the magazine. The literary pages are awash with the very best reviews, and the arts coverage gives the final word on Britain's galleries, shows and films. And all of this is spiced with the funniest cartoons in print.
A subscription to The Spectator also includes membership of SpectatorPlus, the subscribers' club. This gives you free access to The Spectator apps, the chance to attend free events such as wine tastings, and discounted tickets to Spectator debates as well as other special subscriber-only offers.

Customer review for The Spectator
I enjoy reading The Spectator, the articles contain enough detail to provide an overview and, I find, often result in further, private research. I may not always agree with the opinions expressed but since they aren't presented as 'the law', as they can be in other publications, I find another perspective helpful and interesting.
