Barnard Castle Customer review for Lakeland Walker Having been an avid reader of Lakeland Walker for a number of years, I have found it to be an excellent publication with a wide variety of walks and information for all ages and abilities. When reviewing the magazines from the years around 2000 to 2001 just last week I felt the the description of the walks was so good that you just felt that you wanted to get out there and do the suggested routes, this has continued down through the years and I welcome more new interesting suggestions. Recently I have felt that some of the Classic Fells series have lacked the ability to draw me to the routes, some of route descriptions have been vague, but I am pleased to say that the latest one on the Langdale Pikes has addressed ths to some extent. The reviews for equipment have always be good however I would like to see some of the lower-end cheaper items reviewed thus showing that you don't have to spend a lot to get out walking and stay dry and comfortable .
